Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Zarazua painted the outside of our historic home last year and did a fantastic job. So I had them come back to do some interior painting. They do prep work really thoroughly and took care of our home while painting. They are reasonably priced and hardworking.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Very professional, punctual, courteous, and just all-around nice to work with! 2nd review -- after the great experience with my interior painting 4 yrs ago I didn't hesitate to engage Zarazua again, this time to repair / replace some rotting fascia and soffit, repaint all the exterior trim (house is brick facade), replace gutters and install gutter guards. This time around all the above superlatives were true again. Special props to the crew leader, Osiris, and his team for patiently answering all of my questions on top of doing a top-notch job. Esta gente es lo maximo! 🙂

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does hardwood flooring installation typically take?

Most residential hardwood flooring installations take 2-5 days depending on the room size and complexity. Engineered wood flooring often installs faster than solid hardwood due to its click-lock systems and reduced need for nail-down installation.

What's the difference between solid hardwood and engineered wood flooring?

Solid hardwood is made from a single piece of wood and can be refinished multiple times. Engineered wood flooring consists of multiple layers with a hardwood veneer on top, offering better moisture resistance and stability over concrete subfloors.

Can hardwood flooring be installed over concrete?

Yes, engineered wood flooring is ideal for concrete subfloors as it’s more dimensionally stable than solid hardwood. We use appropriate moisture barriers and installation methods to ensure long-lasting results over concrete surfaces.

How do I find reliable "hardwood flooring near me" contractors?

Choose licensed, insured pros with good reviews and warranties. Zarazua Painting offers free estimates and expert care for your flooring type.

What preparation is needed before installation?

We handle subfloor preparation including leveling, cleaning, and moisture testing. Rooms should be cleared of furniture, and HVAC systems should maintain consistent temperature and humidity for material acclimation.

How much does professional hardwood flooring installation cost?

Costs vary based on wood species, installation complexity, and room size. Engineered wood flooring typically costs less to install than solid hardwood, and we provide detailed estimates that include materials, labor, and finishing.

Can hardwood flooring be installed in kitchens and bathrooms?

While possible, we typically recommend engineered wood flooring for these areas due to better moisture resistance. Proper sealing and ventilation are crucial for hardwood installations in high-moisture environments.

How soon can I walk on newly installed hardwood floors?

You can typically walk on engineered wood flooring immediately after installation. Solid hardwood may require 24-48 hours before normal use, and we recommend waiting 72 hours before moving heavy furniture back.

Do you provide warranties on hardwood flooring installation?

Yes, we offer comprehensive warranties covering both materials and installation workmanship. Warranty terms vary based on the flooring type and manufacturer, with details provided in your installation contract.

What maintenance is required after hardwood flooring installation?

Regular sweeping, occasional damp mopping with hardwood cleaners, and prompt spill cleanup maintain your floors’ beauty. We provide specific care instructions based on your flooring type and finish during installation completion.
